Chirag- most toxic lead?

This show ended up popping on my insta feed. It’s so bad and infuriating yet I am obsessed with it now. Chirag has to be the most toxic lead I have seen in a while. I just want to see him grovelling on his knees and rubbing nose on the group asking for forgiveness. Hope Deepika never takes him back! It’s surprising no one has yet punched him. Sad it is as their early scenes had a lot of cute, easy going chemistry which is a rare sight these days on itv. So much wasted potential for unnecessary drama. Can anyone who has watched the original, tell me when will Chirag be finally put in his place?
