Why do so many ITV shows look so cheap nowadays?

So I used to be regular itv watcher till 2017-18. Ishqbaaaz, KRPKAB and Naamkaran were particularly my favs. Even before that I watched different dramas with my mom. ITV wasn't perfect at that time but it still had it's own charm. There used to be illogical scenes like always but pairings used to good and shows atleast looked decent. I come across clips of shows on this sub and sometimes on TV and it feels like ITV downgraded from back then. The quality of the shows (visually) should've gotten better but they all look so cheaply shot. If not cheap, then the characters will have over the top makeup (this was before too but now it looks even more unnatural). Also why does every show I come across has 2 girls (most probably sisters) fighting over one guy who's not even worth it. It feels like they've regressed instead of progressing. Though suggest me some decent itv shows to watch. I watch so many international dramas but itv had it's own charm and I want to go back to it 😭
