Shivangi/ Ashnoor

So, I’m watching old episodes of YRKKH right now. I’m a Gen 4 watcher and hadn’t seen the previous gens, so I thought I’d start with Gen 2 since my gran used to watch Gen 1, and it seemed like a typical saas-bahu drama (I think?). I started from the part where Tara leaves Naksh at the wedding to get some backstory on Naira before the leap. But OMG, Ashnoor’s Naira is so irritating! I don’t know how old Naira was supposed to be at that point, but she was just so annoying—her voice, the way she talked, everything. I haven’t seen any of Ashnoor’s other work, so I don’t know if that’s just her acting style or what. Nothing against her as a person, but kid Naira made me give up on Gen 2 for a while. I skipped the whole Sukanya fiasco and went straight to when Shivangi’s Naira shows up. Honestly, I’d seen a few clips of Shivangi as Naira from the later parts (like after marriage and Kairav’s birth), and I wasn’t a fan. But watching the early episodes of Gen 2 feels so refreshing! Mohsin as Kartik is great too. I remember seeing Mohsin in NAUC as Ritesh—that overconfident guy who was supposed to be Nisha’s love interest. He started out charming but turned into a narcissistic mess, and I think he left the show later. Anyway, he totally hooked me as Kartik. After Kartik and Naira’s first “mendak” intro, I was sold on the show. I’m loving it so much right now, and it’s washing away all the negativity I felt from Gen 4. Anyway, my question is—did anyone else feel the same way about Naira being played by two different actresses? One was totally intolerable, while the other feels much more likable (at least so far). I’m not saying Shivangi is the best fl in the show (still catching up), but her acting feels way better for now!
