The latest case has come to light from outside the liquor shop located at Satluj Chowk of the bus stand where late at 9:30 pm, two youths who came out of the premises were caught by the traffic police personnel who were drunk. There, a ruckus started regarding this matter. Giving information about the case, Suresh revealed that he had come to drop his brother who had come from Jammu. During this time, he was sitting in the courtyard and drinking alcohol. After drinking alcohol, as soon as he came out of the shop to ride his bike, a policeman stopped him at some distance from the shop and started asking him about consuming alcohol. Suresh said that I told the police personnel to do the Nakabandi at some distance, but you are taking action against the people coming from the liquor shop after drinking alcohol just a few meters away from the shop. During this, Suresh alleged that the ASI and a worker present at the check post were drunk themselves and were not able to stand properly. Suresh said that he was misbehaved with by the police personnel. He further revealed that after testing with the alcohol meter, the police personnel issued a challan against him. Thereafter, Suresh threatened that he is ready to set the bike on fire, but the said police personnel should also be tested with the alcohol meter. He alleged that if both the police personnel are found not consuming alcohol in the alcohol meter, then he would set his bike on fire. Suresh alleged that Sub Inspector Sukhjinder Singh sent the said police personnel from there. After which the challan of the victim was withdrawn. Suresh said that before that he was threatened by the police personnel to take him to the police station. At the same time, ‘Aahat’ owner Rajesh Kumar said that the police personnel stood outside the shop gate. When someone comes out after drinking alcohol, they are beaten with sticks, and challans are issued. The contractor said that he had the photo of the beating.1
