Wife of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs to attend Maha Kumbh Mela

Laurene Powell, the wife of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs will attend the Maha Kumbh Mela in Praygraj city of Uttar Pradesh.

The Hindu festival is set to commence from 13th January this year. Powell will observe the ancient spiritual discipline of ‘Kalpvas’ during the Maha Kumbh Mela.

She will reportedly stay in India till 29th January, take a sacred dip at the Sangam and lodge at the camp of Swami Kailashananda. Maha Kumbh Mela is organised once in every 12 years.

It must be mentioned that Steve Jobs visited India in 1974 and was inspired by the teachings of Neem Karoli Baba. 2 years later, he laid the foundation of Apple with Steve Wozniak.
