# We should cherish Gukesh's success but we should not take him as our competitor... Since Gukesh became the World Champion , I noticed a lot of people lamenting about how useless they are as they achieved nothing in life yet...So I want to remind them some points--- privilege - He started playing chess as a career when he was 10 years old (his parents allowed him to do whatever he wanted to do) 1. His parents allowed him to drop out from school after class 4 to help him to focus in his dream career. 2. His doctor father left his job to help him in his dream career. 3. They literally helped him to take classes from different coaches in different camps held worldwide. 4. They attended thousands of competitions worldwide without thinking of the costs. 5. They spent all of their money and time behind him without thinking about the outcome. 6. He got Chessbase India as a backbone of his career.(Sagar and Amruta loved him like their own son) 7. They fucking hired a professional mental coach for him( this guy is the same guy who was Sachin's mental coach.).... Now did your parents allowed you to choose your dream career?? Did they provide you the world class facilities Gukesh got?? If not then stop lamenting , take motivation from him and do your job... edit : people who are downvoting are jealous of Gukesh2
