This is how our country is?
I dont post often here, today i felt like i should post this. Iam from kerala iam working here in UAE for a while, so i have to travel like 1 hour to the place iam working everyday and there is a carlift service to this place so thats my transportation option. There is a lot of foreign citizens in this transportation, all are working in same place different stores. Today there is this lady she is from india too (idk exactly where she is from) and some filipina ladies too they always talks about relationships and stuffs but i don’t give much attention to all of this. Today they wanted to get chai so they called a cafeteria where they often order chai, happened to be a malabari (kerala) cafeteria. So this lady called him to order but unfortunately this guy doesn’t speak hindi or English properly so this lady got furious and said mockingly to the colleagues “This malabari people doesn’t speak Hindi or english” she was kinda joking even i heard it i didn’t mind that. Then they started talking about keralites, iam hearing it but i didn’t mind. Maybe she didn’t knew iam from Kerala. After while she said something that i couldn’t accept she said that “i heard that they ( keralites) dont like being called indian.” I got a bit frustrated then i said “mam iam from Kerala and its not true, please dont say things like this,” then she replied “i didn’t say it like that iam from india too” i didn’t reply to that cus i didn’t wanna create a scene. Iam not blaming that lady or anything. I have been asked a lot of times “where are you from” And i have always replied “iam from india” and iam proud of it no matter how my country is. So this message is to my fellow countrymen., We are from one country and thats india! This north and south is just directions, so please stop ashaming ourselves infront of foreigners saying things like that. Thanks4
