Same ol' hate against India
My friend sent me a video about a youtuber named smalled brained american visiting India, and oh boy that video is filled with hatred, racism and misleading and false information (incorrect translation of Hindi and Urdu languages) about India. This is what my friend had to say about this: Besides the incorrect translation, this video highlights places where common Indian people don’t typically go, such as brothels and poverty-stricken areas chosen for cheap accommodation while expecting 5-star treatment. It’s like making videos of Skid Row in Los Angeles or Pike Street in Seattle etc... and titling them 'USA sucks' just for views. This approach feels disingenuous and misleading. Yes, Delhi is indeed most polluted and one of the most crowded cities in India, with challenging conditions, but to portray this as the entire picture of India is unfair. While no one denies India’s struggles with poverty and corruption, showcasing such a skewed and selective image doesn't represent the whole country. Your choice to avoid areas that highlight the rich culture and vibrant life of India, or to ignore them intentionally for sensational content, is clear. The reality is that many common people in India live healthy, hygienic lives, often comparable to or better than some lifestyles elsewhere. It’s disappointing to see content created for shock value rather than a balanced portrayal, showing how far some are willing to go for monetization.3
