Flipkart delivery agent tried to scam me
So I recently purchased S24 Plus from Flipkart and exchanged my A52s for it. Flipkart was showing me an exchange value of around 6700 rupees. Now, when the delivery agent was checking my phone he was saying stuff like oh there are some dents and scratches on the phone and I was like obviously there would be some since it's a three year old phone. Then he told me the battery life isn't that great, which again is obvious after using a phone for that long. He tried to make it sound like if he gave a genuine assessment of the phone, the exchange value would drop by 2000-2500 rupees which I could not understand because the phone was still in a good condition. He then told me he has passed the phone in all tests and showed me the assessment report (I noticed there was a check for swollen battery on the report but nothin that said poor battery life). He then proceeded to ask for 1200 rupees to be paid to him directly since he passed the phone in all tests. I told him I don't have cash at home and since I have to set up the new phone I can't Gpay him either, but to write down his number and I'll do it later. Now, obviously I haven't paid him though he kept calling me throughout the day but I didn't answer. Does Flipkart even know their agents are running this scam while exchanging devices? I'm pretty sure they can't falsify an assessment report since the phone will be checked later as well.2
