Will the rent ever decrease?

I used to pay 8k for a 1BHK in 2021, and today I’m paying 20k for the exact same flat. Every year, the rent increases by 2/3k without fail, as if inflation is their family tradition. Rent here isn't just expensive, it's a career decision. I’ve fixed everything myself. Replaced the fans, repaired the geyser, changed all the tube lights to LEDs, fixed the electric socket board, and even painted the house with my own money. What’s the point of paying a maintenance fee when I’m doing all the maintenance? Whenever I question them about the rent hike, their standard reply is, Market me abhi ye rate chal raha hai, as if I’m renting an apartment on Dalal Street.On top of everything, there's no car parking, no generator, and yet they keep hiking the rent. It’s like paying premium prices for a flat that doesn't even come with basic amenities. And it’s not just my building,this is the norm across the entire Kondapur area. Rent keeps shooting up, amenities stay non-existent, and the maintenance is a joke. Feels like the whole area is in on the same scam.
