Traveling for work - I need advice

I am 32 year old Hispanic woman from Texas traveling to Hyderabad for work at the end of the month. It’ll be my first time in India & I am unsure of the cultural norms. I am a smoker & I am concerned if it is considered offensive for women to smoke cigarettes in public. I also drink alcohol but I most likely will abstain during my trip. Any travel advice is appreciated! ❤️
