Happy Sankranthi, Hyderabad!

Ever since I was a kid, we used to celebrate Sankranthi by preparing a lot of food items and we’d only eat lunch after performing this ritual-arranging a lot of things like cow dung, flowers, fruits, clothing material and what seems like a wooden figure of a goddess in our living room and boil milk. Never really asked my parents why we did this so I asked them today for which they had a very generic answer and that is to bring prosperity and success. Is there anything else behind performing this ritual? Nevertheless, Happy Sankranthi to all of you! ❤️
