What's the purpose of this metro line?

I have never seen any metro train pass through this line. I don't think there is one at the moment. It runs between chilkalguda circle along the blue line from mettuguda and joins the green line towards gandhi hospital metro station. Anyone here knows what's it's use? My dumbass feels it was originally for folks using the blue and green lines to commute between Nagole and mgbs without having the need of interchanging platforms at parade grounds ( and how tiring and time consuming it is 🤧) or does it any other purpose that the govt. is hiding from us? 🧐🤔 I mean why isn't it operational yet?
