Tirupati stampede: Temple is not a place to crowd and end up in fights but be at peace.
Little long: Wisdom is understanding there are various ways to enjoy , respect or achieve similar things. It is high time people understand this, that crowds too air tight can spoil any form of experience. As much as the recent allu arjun's case has the theatre and him responsible to an extent and you can call upon police or TTD for the recent tirupati incident or any such things in any other place, we might place too less importance to the role the people and their attitudes itself towards these play. You can't have a stampede if people realise crowdy places are not worth it unless it is for survival or for food. A stampede at a place serving food in famine or at a hospital during heavy disease times causing deaths is understandable (again can try avoiding maybe) but not the above. For people who talk about visiting places on the name of religion, Here's my answer below from a conversation between prahlada and his father hiranyakashyapa, a great devotee of god in the form of vishnu better than anyone currently on earth. Hiranyakshyapa: మహిమాన్వితుడైన నీవు పొగుడు హరి ఎక్కడ వున్నాడో చెప్పగలవా Translation: Can you tell me where is the so called glorious hari(vishnu) ? prahlada: కలడంబోధి కలండు గాలి కలడాకాశంబునన్ కుంభినిం కలడగ్నిన్ దిశలం బగళ్ళ నిశలన్ ఖద్యోత చంద్రాత్మలం కలడోంకారమునం త్రిమూర్తుల త్రిలింగవ్యక్తులందంతటం గలడీశుడు కలండు, తండ్రీ ! వెదకంగానేల నీ యా యెడన్ Translation: God is in the Ocean, Air, Skies, Regions below, Fire, all the corners of the World, Day, Night, Sun, Moon, Omkara (the chanting of “Om”) and Trimurthis (Brahma, Vishnu, Maheshwara). God is in all beings and things. There is no question of doubt about the presence of God at a certain place. God is in every place one looks for him. Hiranyakashyapa: అయితే నీ హరిని ఈ స్తంభమున చూపగలవా Translation: If that is the case, can you show me your hari in this pillar. Prahlada: ఇందు గలఁ డందు లేఁ డని సందేహము వలదు చక్రి సర్వోపగతుం డెందెందు వెదకి చూచిన నందందే కలఁడు దానవాగ్రణి! వింటే Translation: You can't say Lord Vishnu resides here, or he will not be there. He is omnipresent. There is no doubt about this. Therefore, you can look for him anywhere and you will find him. Rest is the story of vishnu coming out of the pillar as narasimha and killing hiranyakashyapa. Remember this the next time some elder forces to visit a temple undermining the crowd. Remember this the next time an elder feels bad he couldn't visit so and so religious place due to their inability. Even remember this for something like movies or anything where you think it is worth visiting suffering in the crowds. One who cannot find god in nature and wherever they are, The ones who cannot appreciate the same god in the nearby temple and see no difference in the one in places like tirupati, the ones who cannot see him without an idol representation will forever be eluded by these without satisfaction in their pursuits. Learn to appreciate life. It is the greatest gift everyone gets. Also realise everyone else's life is equally precious. It deeply saddens me to see people dying in stampede for seemingly meant to be joyous occassions in the 21st century where we have the wealth of both science and philosophies like gita from the vast amounts of wisdom and knowledge humans accumulated to appreciate the humongous universe we live in. I do not even know why I took the effort to post this but always wanted to vent and get it out. Thanks and ignore the grammaticals if any. Please take care all.4
