Instagram page tour organiser scam

I recently went to kerala tour with my wife through an Instagram page 'adventure souls club'. What I thought to be peaceful vacation turned out to be a nightmare. When we initially enquired about the boat house, the organiser said he would arrange for 5k as it is off season and our Alleppey trip was scheduled on Wednesday(very less occupancy on weekdays). We agreed and paid the full amount including trip+boathouse on day 1 of the trip. On the day of boarding the ship, the organiser demanded extra 3k for the house boat. I was shocked and asked him the reason. He said that the boat is almost full and I need to pay extra money if I really needed the boat house experience. Else he would arrange shikara ride for the same 5k amount. As I was near the boats, I enquired about the shikara ride and got to know that it is just 3k for a 3 hours ride. I understood that the organizer was scamming me and extorting more money. I simply rejected both boat house and shikara ride and asked him to refund the amount. The organizer said he will return the money after the trip. I went to shikara ride in the boat which I bargained for 3k. After the trip is done the organizer didn't return the money. He is not responding to my calls, messages and even blocked me on his Instagram page when I asked him refund. His Facebook page and old Instagram account has many negative comments from the people he scammed. His new Instagram page has comments turned off so that no one can expose him. There are other disturbances during the trip but specifically mentioned only one incident here as 5k is a big financial loss for me. I am posting here for awareness of the scam. Beware of such people. Have you ever had any similar experience?
