🚨 Beware of Matrimonial Scammers in Hyderabad! 🚨
Hey everyone, just wanted to share my experience with a scammer I came across on [Shaadi.com](http://Shaadi.com) so no one else falls for this trap. This guy claims he and his family is settled down in Hyderabad. Met a guy who seemed *too good to be true*—and surprise, he was. Here’s what went down: * **Name he claimed:** Haren Prudhvi Krishna Kantipudi * **Family claims:** Father - Dr. Vishweswaraya Rao Kantipudi (Ex. Cardiologist in Star Hospitals), Mother - Vasundhara (Homemaker) * **Address claims**: Somewhere in Jayabheri Colony, Cyberabad, Hyderabad, Telangana. * **Too-perfect background:** Said he studied in the US, worked at Microsoft Newyork & Unicredit , and is about to become a CEO of a gaming company in Australia. * **Fake success stories:** Claimed to have sold a patent to a Japanese company called Medtime (no trace of it anywhere). Worked in Microsoft for 2 years and then Unicredit, Romania for 3 years. All thop companies seems to have offered this guy a job😂. (When I asked his techstack, he said he builds gaming software with UI/UX and Spring boot 🤡..was unable to answer anything deeper on the tech stack and quickly diverted the topic) * **Luxury lifestyle flex:** Sent me pics of a Land Rover Defender he "bought" & said a Porsche was on the way—later found the pics on someone else’s Instagram * **Storyline**: Had a very convincing story line. Said he loved a girl for 8 years and then the girl died because of some brain tumor. He was depressed for 2 years. Stayed in Italy to heal himself and worked for unicredit. Came to india and started working at EA Sports Hyderabad for family very recently and now is about to become CEO of some gaming company. * **Hobby Claims**: He said he does pencil arts. Shared random pencil art photos from instagram(Figured it out doing a reverse image search) ---- every single thing is a fabricated lie. Was trying to continuously talk to me and said he is liking me. Infact he is ready to marry me and feels that I am the one. All coochie-poochie talks he did...It was like a cyclone!! My brain was not able to process anything that fast 💨. He said it was love at first sight and felt he found his partner after such a painful breakup...I said I need to time. We could be friends...Then he suggested us to meet up and asked if I am up to travel with him for a very short trip. He said this is what people in other countries do to understand each other....I almost believed it and did say yes but for the next week. Anyways discussion ended. And then, the scam part kicked in: * Called me *panicking* that his sister (who is a doctor) had an accident in Australia * Said his family doesn’t own credit cards and needed an *urgent* transfer of ₹2.5L * Sent me a screenshot showing ₹1Cr in his bank but still *needed my help* 🤡 * When I said I had only ₹1L limit left in the card, he asked for my **card details.** * I wanted to see where it goes...so I lowered my limit to ₹1000 before giving the details (thank god) just to see where it goes. * He tried **multiple transactions**—failed every time. * Sent me proof screenshots of his sister's convo asking for "money please annayya". * Asked me to increase my limit or *borrow from friends* 😑 * I cooked up a story, blocked my card and sent him random bank server down screenshot saying I am unable to help him. * When I refused, he got pissed, then later apologized (classic emotional manipulation) Highlight: The profile pic of his sister was of some model in an insta page. I asked him if that was his sister...He said yes, his families genes are the best...I sent him the link to the insta page and asked if she was a model. He fumbled and cooked up some shit, but realised that I caught on to his scam. He later messaged me that things will not workout between us 😭. **Bonus Red Flags:** * Pressured me to meet ASAP & pushed for a physical relationship * Profile on [Shaadi.com](http://Shaadi.com) is now **suspended** * Fake LinkedIn with only 14 connections & recently updated info * Used stolen photos & mismatched names on Truecaller This guy is *definitely* part of a larger scam network. **DO NOT fall for such smooth-talking fraudsters.** Always verify before trusting someone online. I’ve reported him, and I hope this helps others stay safe. Stay cautious, folks! 💯 P.S.: His profile on matrimony has been suspended/deactivated by him. He is probably creating another profile and trying to scam a different person. P.P.S: In case anyone knows someone similar whoever this person is impersonating as, please do let them know.4
