Appreciation post for the sub and its people.
Greetings pillau. A very happy new year to all, and your respective families. May this year bring a lot of good health and happiness to everyone. This is just an appreciation post for the sub, and the people I met here, some of whom got very close to my heart over a year of interaction. Around Christmas (2023), when the OG Hyderabad chat had \~800 members, I joined and found myself in a conversation with some really sweet people. The best thing was how civil we were, even when the discussion was at times on difficult topics. We have had a lot of fun and lively chats most times, which made this subreddit and its chat a kind of haven on this website for me. I became good friends with some, and I would like to mention those first. They were the first members of a chat group we formed, called "Biryani Wars". People from Biryani Wars: # rationalmosaic u/rationalmosaic Our in-house shayar, whom I had the pleasure of physically meeting when leaving this beautiful city behind. Even though we have not met each other's families, I have always felt I am a part of his. My favourite part about him is his motivation to just know more about himself, to find himself, and doing that through internalising the world around him. I might be wrong of course, but he is a motivation for everyone who wants to know how to invest in thyself. # Brilliant Stupidity u/Cantefffingsleep TT ma'am (IYKYK). Voice of reason, I have learnt a lot from her over the time we conversed. What I really loved was the "IDGAF" attitude she exuded, although for some reason, there was always an undertone of sadness I felt. She and her cat-son, David, who was the unofficial pet of the Hyderabad chat itself. I think at some point, she I started to look at her like my akka, and have no shame in saying I have asked for her blessings at times. :') # FlowerOfDepression u/FlowerOfDepression Won't give away the name with which we knew him before, but what a great guy. One of my three elder brothers in the chat, who left us shortly due to some personal reasons, we always used to await his return. Fortunately, he is back, and hopefully, he is here to stay. # x_o_x_ u/x_o_x_ Another one of those who has been very kind to me. One of the first people who trusted me with the group, and almost always showed up for the weekend calls the group used to have. He and TT ma'am are now modding the Hyderabad chat, and I cannot be happier since these two are the ideal people to do so, demonstrating patience and wisdom. # Reyu ♡ u/Xyz_2222 Kid of the group, she ended up getting banned from the Hyderabad chat I think. In a field of us old-heads, I think it was not the easiest to adjust with her chirpiness at first, but we all felt protective towards her. She became almost like a younger sister to us in time, which I would not have expected at all. # dalchawal69 u/dalchawal69 My cousin, for obvious reasons. We did not stay in contact for long, but the guy had to prioritise his Civil Services preparation and I appreciate it. Basically, he's gonna be the IAS of Hyderabad chat, inshallah. The measures he has taken in his life to achieve his goals inspired me. Taking the kind of leap he has, is only for the brave. # BATMANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN u/Capt_Code Smart guy, with whom I quarrelled a lot. But end of the day, there were fun days in the group with him. # Certain_Death Cannot find his current account, but one of the longest members and friends. Again, big brother with whom I bickered at times, but what I really appreciated about him was his willingness to share information, knowledge. \--------------------------------------------------------------------- People from Hyderabad chat: # Djin Of Biryani u/NahdiNomaan One of the sweetest people in the Hyderabad chat. Had some good shayari sharing sessions after midnight, and although its a shame our conversations could not continue after a point, I will always know this one person will always keep my favourite place on Reddit safe. # Sassyie u/Sassykanth My Shashi beta and anna at the same time, who is allahumdulillah achieving his life's goals and I cannot be more proud and happy. Bought a car and a Seiko last year, I wish we could have had a lunch outing together at some point like we planned. We were gonna exchange our watches too (right bhai?), but he duped me by not showing up. # AKumar u/VitaminnCPP Hyderabad chat's programmer bro, his brain has always fascinated me. Greeting each other in different languages, my favourite observation about him is him putting his fingers in as many different pies as he wants to. He is just thirsty for knowledge. Oh and my least favourite part about him are some very specific allegations he hurled at me. Lol. \--------------------------------------------------------------------- I apologise if I am missing anyone. But please know, you have made my and many others' stay on this website a lot more eventful. Reiterating the introduction, a very happy new year to all the members of r/Hyderabad sub.1
