A "Charminar-i" guide to enjoy your Sunday [OC]
Take an early morning ride to Charminar, and by early, I mean early enough to be able to click the ginormous 434-yr old monument without a lot of people around. Then watch the place come alive as people slowly start filling up the place. Head over to Matwale Doodh Ghar and start your day with a great glass of lassi or falooda, something that can keep you full for a long while. Then stroll ahead to Chowmahala Palace, if you're in for a treat for your eyes. Be prepared to experience an amazing historical saga. Having spent an ample amount of time there, it's obvious that you'll be hungry. So get a plate of Chatpata Chicken and Tandoori Naan at Farasha Cafe and Bakery near Mecca Masjid, or walk over for some soul-satisfying biryani at Shadab. Now that you're full, you're all set for a great shopping spree at Laad Bazaar. That's pretty much going to take some time, and by the time you're done, you might need to refresh yourself. So get a cup of Irani Chai and some Osmania biscuits from the famous Nimrah Cafe and Bakery and enjoy it as you see others do the same. To cap off the day, you can take the stairs to go inside Charminar and watch the spectacular view from the monument, and eventually, go back with a pretty eventful day, filled with great memories.5
