Rajarshi Nandy ji's perspective on Ranveer Allahbadia controvery

Namaste friends. Rajarshi Nandy is someone I respect and think is quite wise. And this is is his perspective on the crude and disappointing behavior of Ranveer. In the first chapter of Yoga Vashistha, one of reasons Lord Ram expresses: "There is no worse danger than egoism......Doing anything with egoism is unreal." Thus, in light of Ranveer showing his "shadow" through his actions, I wonder if, in Ranveer's egoism, he thought he could make such comments without any negative effects on his reputation.
