Just a question.

I’m a 25M. Years ago, my grandmother gifted me a gold necklace with an Om on it. I’ve always worn it around my neck until I met some people who told me I shouldn’t wear an Om around my neck while drinking alcohol, or eating meat as it would be considered disrespect. (I don’t eat beef or pork ever, but they mean’t other meat as well). Interested in opinions here. I’ve had this chain on since 2017, and it has broken off my neck a few times recently and it just has me thinking a little bit extra.
