Picture of Shri Ram in Indian constitution
The picture in this post features Shri Ram, Maa Sita, and Lakshman. In the original copy of India’s Constitution, an illustration of them appears in Part III, which deals with Fundamental Rights. The renowned artist Nandalal Bose from Santiniketan was entrusted with overseeing the artwork. Shri Ram's generous and impartial nature is widely known. Moreover, the concept of Ram Rajya—considered an ideal model of good governance—embodies these virtues in human life. Across various versions of the Ramayana and other folktales, we find numerous glimpses of Shri Ram’s human emotions and deep empathy for people, values that align perfectly with our Constitution today. This signifies that our Constitution was envisioned to shape Bharat into a Ram Rajya 🇮🇳 Reference: https://theprint.in/opinion/why-painting-of-ram-in-indian-constitution-matters/592160/1
