Is this the right thing to do?

Hi everyone, I’m a student currently navigating a rough patch, both financially and mentally. The pressure to earn money has been overwhelming lately. I’ve tried taking up a few part-time gigs and managed to land a home tuition job that has been going well. However, the pay isn’t enough to meet my needs. I’ve tried reaching out to people on Reddit, hoping to connect with those who might have opportunities. But lately, I’ve been questioning myself: Is this the right thing to do? Even though I genuinely need help, does reaching out to people, especially those in better financial situations or with strong connections come across as desperate or shallow? I’d appreciate some honest opinions or guidance on whether I’m approaching this in the right way or if there’s a better path to take. TIA!
