I met my friend's younger sister at her wedding and now I want to seriously date her. How do I navigate this?
Hey Reddit, I’m in a bit of a tricky situation and could really use some advice. Last weekend, I attended my close friend’s wedding and ended up meeting his younger sister for the first time. We instantly clicked—we talked all night, laughed a lot, and even danced together. I didn’t expect it, but I left the wedding with a serious crush on her. Like, really serious. I can’t stop thinking about her, and I genuinely feel like there’s potential for something meaningful here. The problem is, I don’t know how to navigate this without making things awkward. She’s my friend’s younger sister, and I don’t want to overstep any boundaries or risk damaging my friendship. At the same time, I feel like I’d regret not exploring this connection. I’ve been considering adding her on Instagram to stay in touch, but I’m not sure if that’s the right move or if it’s too soon. So, Reddit, what should I do? Should I pursue this and try to date her? If so, how do I approach this respectfully and without causing drama? Should I talk to my friend first? Or is this just a bad idea altogether? I really like her and want to handle this the right way. TL;DR: Met my friend’s younger sister at his wedding, developed strong feelings for her, and now I want to seriously date her. How do I navigate this without messing up my friendship or coming across as creepy?4
