E-Rickshaws Are Turning Gurgaon Into a Traffic Hell – Enough Is Enough!
I am FED UP with the complete lawlessness that e-rickshaws have brought to Gurgaon. What was supposed to be a convenient last-mile transport option has now become a plague on our roads, creating absolute anarchy. And the worst part? No one seems to be doing anything about it. Here’s why e-rickshaws are making Gurgaon unlivable: 1. Total Disregard for Traffic Rules – These drivers act like traffic lights and lanes don’t exist. Whether it’s blocking the IFFCO Chowk signal, clogging MG Road, or going the wrong way on Golf Course Road, they have zero road sense. 2. Chaos at Every Metro Station – Try getting out of Huda City Centre, Sikanderpur, or Cyber City metro stations without being swarmed by a mob of e-rickshaws parked illegally, honking non-stop, and blocking the entire service lane. Commuters and cars are forced into a mess every single day! 3. Accidents Waiting to Happen – These flimsy battery carts cut across moving traffic, overload passengers, and have no rear lights at night. I’ve personally had near misses multiple times because an e-rickshaw suddenly swerved in front of me near DLF Phase 1 and Sohna Road. 4. Encroaching on Main Roads – E-rickshaws were meant for narrow lanes, not to crawl in the middle of NH-8, Shankar Chowk, or Golf Course Extension Road, slowing down already jammed traffic. WHERE IS THE REGULATION?! No registration plates No driver training No police action despite daily violations Gurgaon was supposed to be India’s ‘Millennium City’, but instead, we’re dealing with traffic like Old Delhi’s Chandni Chowk! If the authorities don’t wake up soon, we’ll be stuck in a never-ending mess. Who else is sick of this? Tag GMDA, HUDA, and Gurugram Police – let’s make them take action! 🚨2
