Blood Donation

Title. I want to donate blood on my birthday. Can you tell me a good, safe hospital/center where I can go and donate it? Also, are there any prerequisites like calling them, sharing documentation etc? Please do share that as well. Prior to this, I've only donated when there were any camps around me so that was relatively easy. TIA.
