Kathpur Toll plaza

Hello everyone, I went to himmatnagar and came back to Ahmedabad on the same day. I didn't stop at the toll plaza and took the free lane. However, 105(70+35) inr got debited from my fastag. Kotak FASTag:Rs.70.00 paid for Toll at Kathpur. Kotak FASTag:Rs.35.00 paid for Toll at Kathpur. I understand that if I'm traveling on a road managed by NHAI, I need to pay the toll but here are my queries: 1. How can they debit my account without even scanning my fastag. 2. Why would they charge for a highway which is already in a pathetic state?
