List of Exams, licenses, misc for DGCA exams.
Hello all, this might be a very common/typical question for most of you here. I will be a B. Tech CSE graduate this April/may and I am looking forward to becoming a pilot. I am a covid pass out batch from a school who did not have any previous batches so my marks are just off the mark (is what is assume atleast). My 12th grade marks are as follows: Maths : 61 Physics: 62 Chemistry: 59 English: 72 CS-IT : 70 **AVERAGE - 65.8** My 10th grade marks are as follows: Maths: 70 Science: 82 English: 79 Hindi: 71 Social Science: 70 CS-IT: 92 **AVERAGE - 77.33** **My graduation CGPA is around 7.2.** I have a few questions I need answered, and I'm hoping i can get them here. I have already researched various websites and the DGCA portal as well, but I am skeptical about the accuracy of those websites. Also, everything is a bit scattered. 1. Are any of my marks a barrier for my journey to become a pilot at any point? 2. Aside from "recommendation" of re-appearing for my 12th exams via NIOS, is there any step in my journey where my marks will be a speed breaker? 3. Can anyone here list down the list of exams and procedures that i need to go through/give in order to become a pilot, such as RTR, NAV, MET, etc. in an order. 4. My aim is to be a helicopter pilot instead of just fixed-wings. Is there a difference in exams or preparation or documentation that I should do? 5. I do not even have a computer number yet, so can anyone help me with a list of documents that I need before hand to apply for that? PS: I've looked at the pariksha portal by DGCA but not one "user manual" clearly specifies a list of documents i should keep ready. I do however have a general idea of what all i should have such as my 10th-12th marksheets, passing out certificates, voterID, Adhaar, Passport, and apparently a BVC? 6. How can I get a BVC? I've done both my grades from CBSE. 7. What all do I need to keep in mind for my Class 1 medical? Is it okay if I am overweight? I read that they mainly look at your BMI and not just the weight, but I'm still not sure about it. 8. I intend to give DGCA exams soon, but can anyone here help me out with any prerequisites that I need to brush up before starting it's preparation? 9. How long will it take to prepare for and clear all exams, given that I have my university exams/work too. 10. Any resources i should visit/keep in mind during my preparation? Looking forward to helpful replies. Also feel free to share any obvious things you might wanna point out or say, kindly do so as all help is appreciated. Thank you. And if any other fellow student is looking for one-place-for-all, this can be helpful for you too.5
