Class 1 initial experience at AFCME

**This post is specially for people here who are thinking about getting their initial medical done at AFCME. I guess there is lack of information about the same, so here i am sharing my overall experience and explaining about the complete procedure.** **DAY-1** You reach the center at around 7:30AM. After reaching the center you have to submit an original identity proof at the main gate (dont submit the one which you used to register in egca). After doing the formalities at the main gate, you have to move to a waiting room where after .5-1 hour of waiting you will get a token number. When your turn arrives, you will be called to the reception, you will be asked for your identity proof and all your medical reports will be verified to check it they are from NABH/NABL hospitals or not. You have to redo them if they are not from accredited hospitals. Then you move straight to ENT department on 1st floor, they perform all the tests as required and then you will move for eye tests. There they will check for 6/6 eyesight (this is literally the easiest, dont be scared if you have spectacles. I have -4D power in each eyes and still i cleared it easily). You move on to dilated fundus examination which takes aroun 1.5-2 hour. Then finally you will be called to general medicine department there they will check all your reports individually and check if any test need to be done again. They convey this to the candidates and tell us to come the next day. (They also measure your height weight BP chest circumference). Dont forget to collect your Identity proof from the main gate. Day 1 ends at around 1:30-2 PM **DAY-2** As usual you have to report at 7:30AM, they will straightaway send all the candidates for naked body exam once everyone arrives at the center. For naked body exam they tell you remove all your clothes except the underwear and wait in a waiting room. They call you in one by one, make you lay on a bed and check for hernias or any other kind of abnormality. They then make you stand up and do certain movements like squatting with eyes closed etc, then finally they tell you to lower your underwear for examining your genitals. Thats it, dont be scared or anxious as this total process hardly takes a minute. After this they finally verify all your reports and tests finally and send you to aviation department where they finally give you the clearance. After waiting for an hour or two you will he sent to the reception to fill the feedback form and then they issue the **CA-35**. The whole process is really smooth its just that you have to wait a lot. All this gets done by 1PM **BONUS TIPS** 1. Do take a credit/debit card, as you may need it to pay for any additional test. THEY DONT ACCEPT CASH/UPI 2. They tell to come in fasted state, but its really not mandatory. 3.
