Yjhd movie experience got ruined because of a girl group
I went to watch a movie with my sister recently. We had already seen the movie, but we decided to go again to fully enjoy the big-screen experience. However, things didn’t go as planned, and I’m wondering if I’m overreacting. When we got to the theater, there was a group of girls sitting right behind us. At first, they were just chatting, which wasn’t too bothersome. But as the movie started, they began laughing loudly in high-pitched voices. It became increasingly distracting, especially since my sister and I were there to immerse ourselves in the movie, not to hear loud laughter and chatter. By the time the intermission came, I decided to politely ask them to keep it down. I approached them and said, "Hey, we’ve already seen the movie, but we came back for the experience. Could you please lower your voices so we can enjoy the rest of it?" I thought I was polite and reasonable. However, when I returned to my seat, they started laughing even louder, almost as if they were mocking me. One of them even said, "How rude," which really took me aback. It didn’t stop there. During a song scene (it was "Badtameez Dil"), they got up and started dancing in the theater, clearly just there to take reels or snaps for social media. It was incredibly distracting and ruined the entire experience for me and my sister. We had been looking forward to enjoying the movie, but it felt like the atmosphere was more of a playground than a cinema. I’m usually a pretty laid-back person, but this experience left me frustrated. I felt disrespected and disappointed because I couldn’t fully enjoy what should have been a relaxing and fun outing.1
