Threatening to call police for sitting with my gf in society

Not sure where to post this but I'm really stressed right now. So for context I (M21) usually hangout with my gf (F20) downstairs in society and we usually just seat on a bench a chill mostly around 8 30ish PM, we never do anything morally indecent except holding hands and sitting close together which is usually normal stuff at out age. But today someone started messaging around in groups that they feel uncomfortable that teenagers are sitting around like that and this spread around like wild fire, they started speaking nonsense how they should call police regarding this matter and how they should teach "us" a lesson and other bullshit. Also spoke really not so nice things about our parents like how they have failed at raising us which really pissed me off. One person kept making remarks how they should record us and then post it online. I do have all the screenshot of these messages as this was on WhatsApp grp. Mind you we have never been approached directly by anyone ever that they are feeling uncomfortable or anything. I really want advice if this is even valid for them to say all this bullshit as me and my gf are really in a panic. Thanks!
