Our First Real-Life Market Experience at Kamla Nagar – A Heartfelt Thank You.
Hey r/delhi, I wanted to share a small but special experience my sister and I had recently. My sister runs a tiny Instagram-based business called The Twilight Feels (@the.twilight.feels), where she makes handmade organic skincare products—body butter, scrubs, lip butter, cheek tints, face masks, etc. While we always got great feedback from our Instagram customers, we struggled to reach new people. So, I encouraged her to step out of the online world and try selling in person for the first time. 15th feb, we set up a small table at Gol Chakkar, Kamla Nagar (with permission from a shopkeeper), and to be honest, we were really nervous. The thought of getting no customers or being ignored scared us, especially since it was our first offline sale. But what happened that day was beyond anything we expected. People were incredibly warm and welcoming. Strangers walked up to our table with genuine curiosity, and their kindness made us feel at home. We gave out free samples so they could try before buying, and to our surprise, we sold out all our body butters! Some even placed advance orders because they loved the samples so much. But more than the sales, it was the people we met that made our day. If any of you reading this were there, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You made what could have been a nerve-wracking day into one of the most heartwarming experiences we’ve ever had. Just wanted to share this little moment of ours at Kamla Nagar. Delhi, you’re amazing.3
