Moving to Delhi, what all is needed to handle cold

I will be in Delhi from next sunday. What all things should I carry? I have never been in cold climate. Do I need to use multiple jackets, multiple blankets? For wearing - I have one sweater, on jacket, one inner pair (one top and one bottom). Is this enough? For bed - I have one comforter.
