More than the BJP's win, it is the loss of brand "Kejriwal"
Yep, you heard that right! BJP did not even have a face to start off with (it never had one at State level). Some of the BJP candidates legit started their roadshows/sabhas very late, and had sparse crowds, so much so even they were not sure they'd win it this big this time. Lessons for AAP- need to regroup, think and rebrand the "Kejriwal" it gave to us Delhites back in 2013/15- a common man's hero, corruption-free, with a simple living and high thinking orientation. The charm started to fate away from COVID, riots, corruption allegations, etc. Even if those were not true allegations, it still dents your image to the core. Look how smartly Modi/Shah were able to come out of image of 2002. This is the level of street-smartness and organisational skills the party needs now. Added to it, the complacencies and overconfidence impacted them. They still clung onto a phenomenal 40+ percent vote share which is good. Just take the advantage of BJP's slip through the cracks (in the next 5 years), and gain people's trust again.2
