Help to meet childhood best friend at T2 terminal

So me and my childhood best friend of 16 years have not met since after school and we are both in our respective 2nd years of college right now and we finally have a chance to meet because I will be travelling through Delhi which is also very he is at the moment for his college. so I am going to have a 6 layover at the terminal 2 of the Delhi Airport which should give me plenty time to come out snd meet him.However since we haven't done this before we both are clueless on how to meet. He told me he could come by metro. Could anyone advice on how he could come and where we should meet around the aairport (does terminal 2 have any food places out side). Any help is highly appreciated.
