Does this child needs real help or is it some form of scam done by clever homeless kids who live under flyover?
I'll first tell the full encounter with him, then move to what I found suspicious about him. I found this baccha today sitting on the floor in the subway outside IIT gate number 1 He asked me to get an ice cream for him, I got him one. Then I sat down with him and asked him about his whereabouts, because I was curious about what this young child of age maybe 9-11 doing here in subway? He started telling me his story, and I asked him various questions from my side too. His parents died in Covid, both. He lives alone in the SDA market and in the subway outside IIT Gate 1. And gets his food by begging to people for food. He talked nicely, was respectful. Seemed sharp enough, not dumb. His parents used to live beneath flyover, but then they died, until then he used to live with them. After COVID consumed his parents, he's all alone, he doesn't remember the village of his parents, nor the city, just kept saying UP UP (the state UP). He has no relatives as he claims, and he was sad about being alone. I asked him if he will work, he did pinky promise to me that he'll work. But then no one takes him in for work in the whole SDA market, no food vendor or shopkeeper. He keenly asked me to watch motu Patlu in my phone, so I let him watch, in the park in the market Now what I found sus about him was as follows : (Don't bash me, I can be wrong though) 1. He said his father once left him at orphanage for 3 months, where he was I'll treated and beaten, I asked why he was left there then he told because he was a naughty child and broke the tv (Suspicion no. 1, how tf poor people who live under flyover get access to putting their children in orphanage for just 'sudhaarne ke liye'). 2. He constantly couldn't tell me his village, city or anything, he seemed like 9-11 year old, how tf you don't know even the pronunciation of your village or city's name, if not the full name?? (SUSPICION number 2) 3. When I was leaving, he pointed towards the nearby shop, and started asking me to get him 10 kg aata, then when I denied he said 5 kg aata, then he started negotiating for a big bottle of mustard oil, I asked him what would you do with it, he said he cooks by himself under flyover in oil by making the fire using papers (SUSPICION no. 3, how tf a young child can cook by himself?? Moreover he constantly told me he lived in the subway and SDA market, this was the first time he told me that he lived under flyover too) 4. Suspicion number 4 : I asked about whereabouts of his parents from a nearby golgappe wala, when that child went away, and golgappe wala told me he has seen his mother with him 5-6 months ago?? Tf ? Kid was saying he has no mother 5. When I was talking to him while I was sitting with him in the subway on the floor, he pointed towards a girl passing through the subway, and told me that this Didi gave him 500 Rs last time and talked to him , this was before he asked me to go outside subway to watch cartoon, following which he asked me for the aata and mustard oil (SUSPICION no. 5) 6. When I asked him for orphanage he just didn't want to go there because of the fear that he will be beaten there (SUSPICION no. 6 , maybe because if I gave him to some orphanage then it will get complex for him to scam me, kyuki he just wanted to have the aata and stuff from the shopkeeper who he might return the aata etc to, and get a share of money... but I started to get him to orphanage and this way not what he planned and hence he was denying to go to orphanage?) (sorry but this can be a situation too) 7. SUSPICION number 8 : He strongly asked me to not disclose anything whatever I got to know about him, through our conversation, to anyone here, the food vendors, the ice cream wala, the momos wala, anyone ❌ Ye baccha kahi isliye to nahi keh rha tha aisa taaki ye jo isne mujhe fake story bataayi hai, agar mai ye aaspaas ke logo se discuss karunga to iska saara secret (to fool me for money) khul jayega?? . . . Now tell me what do you think, is this chotu a scam or he genuinely needs help? I really wanna help him but I don't wanna get scammed too.. :( Also, pleaseeeeee suggest me what can I do for him, for helping him in this condition, I need suggestions to find and do the best thing for him at this point..3
