Can I Build a House with a Different Floor Plan than the Approved MDDA Map in Dehradun?

I am planning to build a house in Dehradun. An MDDA-certified map has already been approved for the land where I want to construct the house. Now, I want a different floor plan from what is on the MDDA map. Will I face any problems if I get the house constructed according to a different floor plan? The architect I contacted says that almost all the houses in Dehradun are not constructed according to their respective MDDA maps. I am too confused right now. What are your opinions on this matter?
