Advice on buying Apartment / Villas / Plots?

Hi Everyone, I'm currently working in Bangalore and I'm planning to settle down in Coimbatore 10 years down the line. The maximum budget is 70 lakhs. If its villa or apartment - I'm worried it will have to stay empty until I'm back. If its a plot - I don't have any contacts / family support to help construct a house. What shall I do? Any suggestions? Also - any good suggestions for good place to settled down within Coimbatore? I would like to settle down near some green areas.
