North Indian moving to Tamil Nadu cant decide between Tirupur and Coimbatore.

Hey guys :) I'll be moving to TN in less than two months from the Middle East with my wife and new born. I'm originally North Indian though.Although really excited but I've never lived in these two cities specificly before. I've only spent a couple of years in Ooty and a few months in Chennai for University. I'm happy to learn Tamil but understandably i don't know enough to even strike a simple conversation for now is English widely understood in Tirupur and coimbatore as it is in Chennai and Ooty? I would also like some advise about which city out of the two has a better standard of living, which has more activities like concerts, malls, sports, pubs etc between the two? And where is English more widely understood? What's the weather like? Anything i need to keep in mind before I make the big move? Also are there any Tamil Classes i can take locally? Does Coimbatore have nice trekking spots? We love nature and mountains so hopefully there's some of that too. Also how practical is it to travel between Tripura and Coimbatore regularly for work
