Recent aur travellers from Chennai international airport what's the one carry on luggage rule here?

I booked ticket in 2024 december, the ticket says one carryon luggage plus laptop bag allowed but aiports have a different rule is what I heard. Anyone recently travelled can give a picture what rule is being followed. I am traveling to Vietnam from Chennai.
