Raja Raja Cholan memorial grounds

Greetings, I am Eela Tamilian who had migrated to the UK and currently llive in London. A lot of things in my own country make my blood boil but nothing more than this! Can someone who is knowledgeable kindly inform as to why this is the state of the memorial of a King who once ruled 2 thirds of the world? Why is the government can build and spend millions of peoples money building memorial palaces for Ex politicians but not for Raja Raja cholan.
