I want to build my own Home Theatre setup, has anybody done that?

Soo.. I've always been very interested in PC building, and built / re-built many PCs too. When I last visited Ritchie Street, I was intrigued by a lot of those audio equipment shops, and spoke to the owner of one. I realized similar to PC building, this too consists of carefully selecting parts and putting them together like a jigsaw puzzle. I am a total noob here and want to get started, so I wanted to know has anybody here ever done that here and help me out?
