Help with last minute new year plan

Hi all! We are a married couple, new in Chennai. The wife says we need to be out at night on New Year's Eve. At the last moment.... And this guy needs to do everything it takes to make her happy. So please help! What can we do? Here's our interests: 1. We're vegetarians, teatotallers. So no bars/parties I'm afraid. 2. We would be quite happy at a nice restaurant or a cafe. 3. We can travel around 200-ish km,so Puducherry is do-able.... don't know if we can find accommodation and stay a night yet. I suppose if all else fails,I could try doing something at home. Open to those suggestions too! So please suggest something, help this guy win the 'good husband award'
