TNPSC grp 2 exam resources and opinions

I'm trying to aim for this exam in 2025 and want to know if anyone actually uses the books in connemara or anna centenary library. Do you use your own materials or go to public libraries as self learner? Also what's your opinion about starting the prep for TNPSC group 2 after quitting a 9 to 6 job as a graphic designer?
