Things to check before booking a NYE party
Booked a NYE Party in Park Elanza at Rs.2K/head. Avan Event info la- What's In store nu " Curated menu bla bla bla " nu soli irukan, ana anga pona things were quiet different. So things were hectic from hotel entrance. They allowed us to enter only after making a purchase of a Rs.500 food voucher per head. So till now, its 2000+500 and we haven't entered the space yet. This 500 cover should have been mentioned in the info while purchasing , but it was not, when asked the BookMyShow ppl in the counter- they were " please talk to the bouncers, they are the ones allowing people inside" This was mentioned by multiple near the counter and they did not have any resposnse to it, just - ITS THE RULLZ, so have to pay. Going up the elevator, the place is a Banquet hall which has been rented by the organizer. They had allowed smoking indoors and the hall filled with cigarette smoke. This was a major turn off. The 500 voucher didn't even cover a single starter. We ended up leaving the place and going to different place and spent the eve there. So what should you check before making any ticket purchase for such events/parties. 1. Is the ticket price Cover charge or entrance fees? 2. Will there be any other fees which will be mandatory for getting in? 3. Will food be included in the Ticket? One thing which I realized after all these is, they didn't mention Food are included in the package- It was simply said "The menu is there" . It was a clever use of words, but still a scummy trick.2
