Sim for foreigners

Hey, I am from Sri Lanka and am planning to visit Chennai next month. I need to know info about buying a sim for my own (a few actually, as my whole family will be visiting). It will be a great help if anyone can help me with this. Also can you guys suggest some good spots to visit in our trip? Thanks in advance ♥️
