Got borderline harassed by an auto driver

I know, I know, we have had this discussion multiple times on this sub before but what happened yesterday was very unsettling to say the least. Yesterday, my mom and I went to the hospital for my usual checkup. I booked an auto as I wasn’t getting any cabs and I just wanted go home and rest up. Anyways, booked the auto, the driver asked for extra, I agreed and we boarded the auto. There was a little traffic on the way back, but we pretty much reached our house on time. Now, I never expected this guy to pull something like this, cause he was actually being quite considerate initially. He was talking about his daughter and asked if I was comfortable, how far along I was etc.. but then suddenly when we got down he blatantly asked for 200 rs extra. I tried to reason with him, but he wasn’t having it. He started shouting and saying that we scammed him. I was trying to be assertive but was quite intimidated actually. He said that he’ll get his guys and take back what is rightfully owed. He was very closer to getting physical with us, I ended up having a panic attack and almost crying. I should have known something was off when he asked me to cancel the ride as soon as we boarded the auto. And then when my husband intervened he completely switched up. His tone went down. From saying ‘nee, vaa po’ he switched to ‘sir, madam’ and begged for 100 rs extra and just left. I don’t know if it was because we seemed vulnerable or it’s just the rash auto driver attitude, but I felt so humiliated. Whatever happened to empathy?
