Advice on Buying a PS4 or PS3 as a Gift for My Cousin

I'm planning to buy a PS4 or PS3 as a gift for my cousin. I already own a PS5, which he loves, but my budget doesn't allow for another PS5. I'm wondering if older consoles like the PS3 or PS4 are reliable enough for a couple of years of use. A bit about him: he's in 8th grade, plays a lot of mobile games, and is excellent in studies (he's scored really well, so his parents are on board with this idea). I want this to be a special gift for him. Can anyone recommend a trusted offline store in tricity where I can buy one? Also, what would be a reasonable price for a PS4 or PS3? I've seen a lot of variation on platforms like OLX and am unsure what to trust. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
