Best dash cams for cars?

So someone hit the rear windshield of my parked car in the morning today, completely shattering it. Unfortunately no CCTVs around could capture what happened. We’ve previously also been implicated in false accident cases just because we had no proof that we were not the ones at fault. So it’s about time I get a dash cam. I’m looking for ones that record the outside as well as the inside of the car (since the incident could not have been captured from the front camera). Alternatively any other cameras that can be set up at the outside of the car at the back as well as the front also work. I’d prefer that the camera continues recording even when the car is parked, so ideally something with a good storage. All recommendations are welcome. Open to all options unless they’re too exorbitantly priced. Don’t mind spending a few thousand bucks if I can save lakhs.
