Thar Roxx Ride quality doubt

Forgive me, I am a total noob. I have seen many people complain about the Thar and Thar Roxx being an absolute nightmare to ride on bad roads with bumps and potholes. But isn't the Thar built for going through far worse terrains? I genuinely can't understand how a vehicle which is built for the primary purpose of navigating through the absolute worst paths at the same time is a nightmare to ride on the average indian road.
