Thar 1998 a good buy?

Hey, I’m considering buying a 1998 Mahindra Thar for ₹1.5 lakhs. As a 19-year-old college student, this would be entirely self-funded. I’ll definitely get it inspected by a mechanic before making a decision, but beyond that, does it make sense to go for it from a practical standpoint? Would love to hear your thoughts!
